Description
The Comité Champagne is a professional organisation bringing together all the winegrowers and Champagne houses. It is recognised by all as the guarantor of the general interests of Champagne.
It works on behalf of the industry, through economic, technical and environmental initiatives, quality improvement, organisation of the industry, communication, development of the reputation and protection of the appellation throughout the world.
In particular, it is tasked by Champagne professionals with :
- carrying out research and experimentation in viticulture and oenology, in order to optimise production conditions and enhance the quality potential of Champagne wines. This work is translated into advisory and development activities for professionals;
- to ensure that the Champagne appellation is promoted and protected throughout the world thanks to specific legal expertise;
- implement a collective sustainable development and CSR policy.
