Description

For more than 40 years, exponential research has been carried out to combat grapevine trunk diseases (GTD), with increasingly precise and innovative technology, making it probably one of the most studied diseases and providing a remarkable amount of scientific and technical data in the laboratory and in the vineyard. But today, despite our technological tools ranging from nano-, micro-, macro- and meta-, we cannot offer winegrowers any more means of combating wood diseases than we could a century ago. Given these challenges, identifying alternative, innovative and sustainable control methods is essential to complement and refine the range of available methods. To achieve these goals, fundamental research is necessary. During our presentation, we will share our latest scientific advances concerning the aetiology of the disease.
