Florian Lecasse
Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne
Maître de conférences
Description
Florian Lecasse completed a degree in Physics and Chemistry, followed by a Masters in Applied Physics and Engineering Physics at the University of Reims. To validate his Master's degree, he did a six-month placement at the GSMA, where he worked on spectroscopy applied to Champagne wines, in line with the themes of his training. He then continued his research in the same laboratory by writing a thesis on the same subject.
During his thesis, he developed an instrument for quantifying with great precision the concentration of gaseous ethanol in the headspace of a glass. He was also interested in the rotational movement involved in wine tasting. He obtained his doctorate in October 2023.
Following his thesis, he was recruited on a one-year contract as a research engineer to work on AUSEA technology, a greenhouse gas measurement tool developed jointly by the GSMA and TotalEnergies. In September 2024, he was recruited by competitive examination as a lecturer at the GSMA, enabling him to continue his research into sparkling wines.
